How To Prepare For My Lip Blush Appointment & Aftercare

What is lip blushing?

Lip blushing is a popular cosmetic tattooing technique that involves using a tattoo machine and needle to add color to the lips. The process involves gently opening the skin on the lips to allow for the implantation of pigment, resulting in a beautiful, natural-looking lip color. This technique is used to enhance the lips with a range of soft, natural shades such as pinks, corals, and mauves that can brighten up the face and give a more youthful appearance. This method is a form of tattooing, as it uses similar techniques of implanting color into the skin.

How to prepare for your lip blush appointment:

14 days before the appointment:

  1.  Apply any lip balm or Vaseline before bed leading up to your appointment.

  2. Exfoliate your lips with any lip scrub product or you can make your own scrub by mixing a tbs of brown sugar, honey, and bit of lemon juice till it becomes a paste.

  3. Stay hydrated by drinking water because moisturized lips will heal more evenly in color.

Disclaimer - If the lips are dry and uneven in texture the color will not implant properly which can lead to patchy, uneven lip blush healed results.

  1. If have EVER had a cold sore or shingles in your life proceed to step 2.
